Delivery Information

Where do we deliver?

We normally deliver on the mainland only (but including the Isle of Wight) in England, Scotland and Wales. We can arrange delivery of our wallbeds and mattresses to other destinations in the UK/British Isles, such as the Channel Islands, The Isle of Man, Northern Ireland and the Scottish Islands, but additional carriage charges apply, please call us for a quotation.

Whilst we do not get involved in shipping our products abroad, we can deliver them to a UK mainland shipper of your choice, for you to arrange onward transportation.

When do we deliver?

Deliveries take place Monday to Friday (excepting public holidays) between 8am and 5pm on a day of YOUR choice. We will normally call you on your contact number, within 1 working day of you placing your order, to discuss delivery.
Whilst you cannot pick a particular time slot, if it helps, the driver can call you an hour prior to arrival on the contact number you provide us with.

How long will I have to wait for delivery?

Free Standard Delivery Service
We try to keep our most popular models and sizes in stock at our London Warehouse. Assuming that what you have ordered is in stock, which it usually is, using our Free Standard Delivery service, your order should be with you within 5 working days (excludes Weekends and Public/Bank Holidays).

This applies to our popular mattress sizes and popular bed sizes in a white finish providing they are in stock. See below for other sizes and/or colours.

'Made to Order' (other sizes and/or colours) products will take longer to deliver, as they will have to be produced specially for you. This applies to bedframe colours other than white, our non-standard 'Vertical' Wallbed sizes, our 2-part ‘Vertical’ Wallbeds and all our ‘Horizontal’ Wallbeds and generally takes no longer than between 4-6 weeks, or less.

Please note that made to order goods must be paid for in full at the time of order and cannot subsequently be cancelled, or refunded.

If you have ordered some of our Bespoke 'STUDIO RANGE' units together with your wallbed, these will all be delivered together and installed for you (London and the Home Counties only). The lead time for our Bespoke 'STUDIO RANGE' units is usually about 2-4 weeks.

We will normally contact you with an estimated delivery date within 1 working day of you placing your order. Nearer to the estimated date of delivery, we will contact you again to make more detailed arrangements.

Express Delivery Service
If you are in a hurry and the goods are in stock and you haven't ordered any our 'STUDIO RANGE' units, you can opt for our Express Delivery Service.
Place your order before 11am Monday - Friday and receive your order within 3 working days (excludes Weekends and Public/Bank Holidays), for just £40 extra!

Who will deliver my order?

We have been using a leading nationwide carrier for the bulk of our mainland deliveries for many years now, as they have provided us/our customers with a careful, courteous and reliable service. Although the number of delivery staff can vary, we recommend that you assume that there will only be one driver and that they may need a hand off the vehicle with the heavier items.

The driver will, as a minimum, place your item(s) within your property, in the hallway near to your front door in the case of a private house. If you live in a flat the driver will, as a minimum, place your items within the building, but may not deliver to the flat itself. It is down to the drivers' discretion whether they are able/willing to place the item(s) anywhere else in the property/take them up or down stairs, etc.

For this reason we always recommend that, if the person taking delivery is elderly or physically unable to help lift/move the item(s), they should have someone available who can assist the delivery driver and that if delivery is to a block of flats, arrangements be made for the Porter/Caretaker to assist with the delivery.

If you have arranged for your bed to be installed it will be delivered and placed by our fitters.

How big is the Wallbed and Mattress?

Unlike many of our competitors, we do not believe in delivering our wallbed frames in lots of pieces. For maximum strength, we therefore hand weld our bed frames together and they will come in one piece, unless you have ordered a 2-part double bed to fit up narrow stairs.

The bed frame will be about the same length and width as the mattress. For example a 4ft. 6ins. Standard Double 'WISKAWAY'® Victor 'Vertical' Wallbed frame will be about 4ft. 6ins. wide x 6ft. 3ins. long (135cm wide x 190cm long) when delivered. The depth of our Wallbed frames, when packaged flat for delivery will usually be about 5ins. (13cm).

When you order a Single Wallbed you will receive just 1 package, consisting of the bed frame with a (floor fixing) base pack and a mattress retaining strap attached.

If you order a Double Wallbed you will receive 2 packages, consisting of the bed frame (with 2 mattress retaining straps attached to the bed frame) and a separate, much smaller, oblong, (floor fixing) base pack.

Two-part double beds come packaged as two Singles.

The mattress width and length will depend on what you order. The depth will be about 8ins. (20cm) - unless you order a special size.

What if the bed frame might not manoeuvre up my staircase/into my tight space?

As mentioned on our product pages, please always check the overall dimensions of our products, before you order and please do not order your wallbed directly from our website if you are in any doubt about the dimensions of your stairs/space. Please contact our delivery helpline, on 020 7434 2066, to discuss any queries you may have, as it is YOUR responsibility to ensure that any products you order will fit up your stairs/into your home. If they don't, we will have to charge a fee for collection and repackaging.

If you believe a Double Wallbed will not manoeuvre into the room of choice, we do offer two-part Double Wallbeds. These beds come complete with a coupling bolt, so that you can join both beds together, on site, to operate as one wallbed, but they are significantly more expensive than a one-part double bed.

What happens if I miss my delivery?

We always arrange to deliver on a date of YOUR choice and will ring you the day before to remind you. It is essential however that you are in when the driver arrives, as he cannot come back on the same day.

In the event of a failed delivery, we will be charged by the carrier and will have to pass this additional cost (£50) onto you. Please ensure that you give us the best contact number for you, so the driver can call you 1 hour prior to delivery (if requested). If you are unable to take delivery on the agreed date, please contact us at least 2 full working days before your delivery is due. If you contact us within less than 2 working days, we may have to charge for rearranging the delivery.

If I’m out when the driver calls can he leave my order in the garage/garden?

No! Please note that all deliveries must be signed for and drivers cannot simply leave goods in gardens, or garages.

What if my product(s) arrive damaged, or with parts missing?

In the unlikely event of missing or damaged goods, these must be signed for as such on delivery and reported immediately to us, both to the driver and us, otherwise the damage or shortfall will not be covered by our insurance.

How does Christmas affect deliveries?

Our carriers normally curtail deliveries a few days before Christmas and do not recommence deliveries until the New Year. Deliveries can still be arranged on working days during this period, but the carriers charge a premium for this, which we would have to pass on.
